Last month, retro revival beat ’em up Streets of Rage 4 was released to critical fanfare. Now, Storm Collectibles is bringing franchise mainstay Axel Stone to life as a posable action figure that’s based on his SoR4 look.

Available through Entertainment Earth for $89.99 with free shipping, the Axel Stone figure stands approximately 8-inches tall and comes with three interchangable heads, five pairs of hands, five weapons modeled after their in-game counterparts and two particle effects so collectors can pose Axel mid-Bare Knuckle, his signature move named after the game’s title in Japan.

Axel made his debut in 1991’s Sega Genesis/Master System beat ’em up Streets of Rage. He and fellow police-officer-turned-vigilante Blaze Fielding have appeared as playable characters in every SoR since. In each iteration, they and the other protagonists set out to rid their city of a corrupt government and its criminal syndicate sponsors.

The figure carries a tentative October 2020 release date.

In other Streets of Rage 4 news, Signature Edition Games is currently offering pre-orders for special editions that include a soundtrack CD, five enamel pins, a replica of Axel’s bandana, a numbered art card and a copy of the game on any of the three current-gen gaming platforms. Switch editions are $59.99, while Xbox and PlayStation 4 copies cost $54.99. Shipping from Europe adds approximately $10.

The special edition’s targeted release date is July 24—retail copies that include an art booklet and keychain should hit American stores around then, too.
