At 10 a.m. Jan. 31, Limited Run Games will bring two titles to pre-order at its webstore.

The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is a 2D puzzle/platformer by White Owls Inc., a development studio founded by SWERY (Deadly Premonition). After J.J.’s love interest, Emily, disappears, she sets out to find Emily. Along the way, J.J. realizes she can’t die and utilizes that newfound power to dismember herself to solve puzzles.

Upon release, the game received praise for its approach to LGBTQ+ issues and its use of metaphor to tackle the subjects of self-discovery and self-harm. Gameplay-wise, the title invokes memories of Limbo while presenting a colorful world in which to run for your life.

The Missing will be available in a standard edition for $39.99 during a two-week pre-order window. The game’s collector’s edition, which includes everything pictured above, will be $79.99. Allotments of the collector’s editions will be sold at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Copies are available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Fans of the game can also pre-order its soundtrack on 2-LP colored vinyl. Copies are $34.99 and are also on an unlimited pre-order window.

Another PS4 title, Legend of the Tetrarchs, will be available in two extremely small batches at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 31. This region free release is $29.99 and limited to 1,500 copies.

Legend of the Tetrarchs is a story-heavy JRPG with pixel art and turn-based battles. It’s the latest title from the studio that developed Chronus Arc.
