KFC mascot switches from serving chicken to serving PEZ

Since the 1990s, the Colonel Sanders character has served as KFC’s mascot. In November, he’ll begin serving Pez as a Funko Pop! Pez candy dispenser.

The character is based on Kentucky Fried Chicken’s founder, Harland David Sanders, who donned the Colonel persona as a cost-effective marketing tool. Approximately a decade after Sanders’ 1980 death, the persona was revived as a spokesperson since played by multiple actors.

Funko’s Colonel Sanders Pop! Pez is available at Entertainment Earth for $4.99. The dispenser comes with some finger lickin’ good candy.
