As an American black bear, Smokey has a personal interest in protecting United States wilderness. Soon, he’ll take his message to Funko’s Pop! Vinyl line—along with some of the same nostalgia that radiates from other Ad Icons immortalized by the toy company.

Smokey the Bear’s Pop! Vinyl figure can be pre-ordered at Entertainment Earth for $10.99 and is scheduled to ship in February 2020. Hot Topic will carry an exclusive flocked (fuzzy) version of the figure.

In the 1940s, Smokey debuted in what is now considered the longest-running public service announcement campaign in the United States. In the early 2000s, Smokey’s slogan was updated from forest fires to wildfires. This change widened the scope of Smokey’s message to convey the real threat fire poses to American wilderness.

Hopefully, this means a Funko Pop! Vinyl of famous crime-sniffing doggo McGruff is in our future.
