A special edition Barbie honoring Dia de Muertos will be released in April 2020, but it’s selling out fast. Entertainment Earth is taking pre-orders for Dia de Muertos Barbie now. The commemorative collectable is $75.99.

Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday observed from October 31 through November 2. It’s a family-centric celebration that focuses on the remembrance of and respect paid to those no longer with us.

This Barbie’s clothing is symbolic of the season, with its crown and dress featuring marigolds and monarch butterflies. Her skull makeup is reminiscent of the calacas masks used during the celebration.
