On Aug. 16, Limited Run Games will bring a sizeable number of offerings to its online storefront, and the pack is led by a bunch of hungry dinosaurs looking to take a bite out of your wallet.
Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, remastered from their late ’90s releases on Nintendo 64, are first person shooters that see players take control of the Turok, a warrior entrusted with protecting Earth from The Lost Land. This land spits in the face of time and reality, containing everything from benevolent aliens to prehistoric monsters.
The protagonist of Turok, Tal’Set, enters The Lost Land to stop an evil named The Campaigner from acquiring an all-powerful item because evil and all-powerful is a bad combination for anyone not The Campaigner. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil puts players in the shoes of another Turok, Joshua Fireseed, as he fights to halt the resurrection of Primagen, an alien whose resurgence would mean the collapse of The Lost Land.
Both games are $29.99 and are available to pre-order until Aug. 30. Franchise fans can opt for a $59.99 Turok dual-pack featuring exclusive slipcover packaging, also available until Aug. 30.
Collector’s editions of the games are $54.99 each and include the game, a soundtrack CD, a poster and a metal replica of the chosen title’s Nintendo 64 cart. The collector’s sets are housed in packaging reminiscent of boxes used for Nintendo 64 games. Collector’s editions of Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are available in two batches released at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Aug. 16.

Also available in batches at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Aug. 16, The Bard’s Tale: ARPG Remastered and Resnarkled Coin & Cleavage Edition (happy to finally write about a game with a sub-sub-title) is limited to 1,800 copies and comes with a poster and Q&A booklet detailing The Bard’s Tale’s history. This fantasy action RPG is $24.99 on PlayStation 4.

Limited Run already released Slime-San for Switch, but the company is going back to this cute, captive critter for one more physical release on PlayStation 4. Slime-San: Superslime Edition is $24.99 and is limited to 2,000 copies. This difficult platformer finds players attempting to defy nature by escaping Slime-San’s would-be consumer, a giant, vile worm. As usual, chances to land Slime-San come at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Aug. 16.
