Limited Run releasing new games Aug. 9, distributing Bubsy Paws on Fire

Today, Limited Run Games announced a new distributed title hitting its online storefront Aug. 27.

Bubsy Paws on Fire is an auto-run game developed by Choice Provisions (Bit.Trip). The title will launch on Switch Aug. 29, so Limited Run’s copies will ship day-in-date with outlets like Amazon. Limited Run’s allocation will include the game, mini-soundtrack CD and manual packaged with an exclusive color. Amazon has a $39.99 launch edition of Bubsy Paws on Fire that also includes a SteelBook.

In other Limited Run news, the publisher is planning two of its own releases on limited pre-order this Friday, Aug. 9. The first, Metal Slug 3, is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, with a PS4 collector’s edition featuring a shockbox, game manual, art cards and poster, all housed in a retro-inspired box.

Metal Slug 3 was released in 2000 in arcades, with a home release on PlayStation 2 and Xbox the same year. The PlayStation 2 version of the side-scrolling shooter holds a 76.78 percent positive rating from review aggregate site GameRankings.com.

Metal Slug 3 and its collector’s edition will be available in small quantities at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET via Limited Run’s online storefront.

On Aug. 9, Limited run will also offer Gravity Ghost Deluxe Edition for PS4. The story-driven, physics-based puzzle game was released on PC and mobile in 2015 to a warm reception, with reviewers citing its storytelling, art style and puzzle mechanics while commenting that the experience was over too soon. The deluxe edition adds an extra playable character and new levels.

Gravity Ghost will also be a limited release with copies available at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET.
