Radical new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures based on Turtles in Time video game

This announcement is giving my wallet shell shock.

In 1991, Turtles in Time hit arcades and became the de facto TMNT beat ’em up experience. The 1992 home port for Super Nintendo Entertainment System cemented the title’s legacy among the TMNT faithful—it’s looked back on so fondly that a comic book adaptation was published in 2014, more than 20 years after the game’s debut.

Now, toymaker NECA is manufacturing a collection of 14 7-inch figures based on characters from the game. The first set announced includes Donatello (top left), boss of the prehistoric level Slash, a purple Foot Soldier and Leonardo. Entertainment Earth has the first set of four for pre-order at $89.99, but fans can also pre-order the entire 14 figure series for $322.99.

Each figure will be packaged separately, feature pixelation effects and come with accessories. Pre-orders of both the four and 14 figure sets are scheduled to ship in November.
