Double Switch, Rogue Legacy available July 19 through Limited Run Games

On July 19, Limited Run Games will make two games available for pre-order across multiple platforms.

Double Switch will hit Nintendo Switch in a $29.99 base edition and $59.99 collector’s edition that includes the game, a sticker, a poster, a concept document and a cassette soundtrack. The game will also release on PC in an individually numbered big box reminiscent of retro PC game packaging. The PC version will retail for $34.99.

The Collector’s edition and PC version of Double Switch will be available in two allotments opened at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. The standard Switch version is an open pre-order that closes Aug. 2.

Double Switch’s soundtrack will also be available on brown vinyl. Only 400 copies were made and the release is exclusive to Limited Run. Copies will launch alongside the 10 a.m. batch of games and cost $27.99.

Originally released in 1993 for Sega CD with a Sega Saturn port released in 1995, Double Switch is an adventure game that utilizes live action video starring Corey Haim. The player is tasked with setting traps to protect the residents of a high rise apartment building.

Rogue Legacy will also receive a physical release through Limited Run that becomes available for purchase 10 a.m. July 19. Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are $29.99 and are available during an open pre-order that closes Aug. 16.

A platformer dungeon crawler with light roguelike elements, Rogue Legacy allows players to restart after death as an heir of the character they previously controller. Each heir comes with an inherited trait that alters gameplay. Rogue Legacy originally released in 2013 for Windows PC, with all major modern platforms inheriting versions of the game shortly thereafter.

Switch gamers who purchase both games on July 19 will receive a $5 discount by buying the bundle at Limited Run Games’ online storefront. The deal disappears after July 19.
