Gris gets physical on Nintendo Switch, vinyl soundtrack in CE and at iam8bit

At 1 p.m. ET, Special Reserve Games will launch pre-orders for physical copies of Gris on Nintendo Switch. At the same time, iam8bit will launch pre-order’s for the game’s soundtrack on vinyl.

The game will be available at a base price of $34.99, which includes the physical copy, art prints, an instruction booklet and a commemorative box. An art book is available for $59.99, and a bundle containing both aforementioned products is $79.99.

The $249.99 signature edition includes a physical copy of the game with instructions and prints, an art book, the soundtrack on double LP black vinyl with quadfold packaging (it folds out twice to 48-inches) and an exclusive piece of art.

Only 500 copies of the black quadfold double LP will be pressed, with an allotment also available at iam8bit for $49.99 for fans who don’t want to purchase the signature edition.

An open pre-order of the soundtrack on gatefold double LP is also available on an unspecified color (it appears to be silver or clear) for $34.99.

Vinyl pre-orders go live at a different time than game pre-orders—3 p.m. ET. These are expected to ship in the last quarter of 2019.

Gris was released in December 2018 for Mac, PC and Nintendo Switch. The stylistically ornate platformer garnered positive reviews from critics and despite its late release, received recognition on a number of best-of lists for last year.
