This August, comic and collectible distributor Diamond will release an exclusive Funko Pop! Vinyl through its Previews brand.

The stylized bobble head figure of Nova will be limited to 30,000 pieces and is available to pre-order through local independent comics shops or Entertainment Earth.

Nova debuted in 1976 in the solo comic The Man Called Nova, which saw a mild-mannered high schooler named Richard Rider inherit the power of a dying space policeman.

The cover of that comic is recreated as a Funko-inspired variant for Guardians of the Galaxy issue 7 (right). Each shop will receive one variant cover—designed by Funko Senior Concept Artist Mike Martin—for every six Nova figures they order.

Entertainment Earth has an $80 bundle available that includes both items.
